I was totally taken by surprise when Ms. Neeta Chawan expressed her intention of doing podcast with me. She introduced Mr.Jeet Rathore who would be doing it at the studio at Navi Mumbai. Having spent five decades teaching and also having written a book " What Ails our Schools?" made me an ideal candidate for this exercise, I guess. The podcast had to reach audience all over India, so the conversation had to be more in Hindi with a little bit of English thrown in. Jeet started off with my initial challenges in schools and how events helped me write a book. He asked me about what prompted me to start the NGO Shaktii and asked me to share its success stories. Jeet was brilliant with his questions that came with ease which made the entire podcast comfortable for me.
After nearly two hours, I ended the conversation feeling satisfied. No one ever listened patiently to the topic that has been so close to my heart. I am grateful to Neeta Chawan for this wonderful experience. All the best to Neeta and Jeet.
